Women in the Shade (WITS) is a strategic development, research and consultancy organisation working across uniformed services and the wider public sector.
We specialise in evidence‑led development, organisational change and inclusive practice, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for Black women in uniformed roles.
Our work supports both individuals and organisations to move beyond intention into measurable, sustainable change.

The Women in the Shade Development Programme is a structured, evidence‑informed programme supporting the progression, wellbeing and retention of Black and minoritised women (officers and staff).
